Asda Southgate – what’s going on?

As a commuter I walk to the tube station at Southgate every day and often have to walk in the road as Asda’s delivery lorries block the way. This last week or so has been even worse as orange barriers are up on both sides of the road and articulated lorries have to reverse into the delivery area, holding up traffic and pedestrians alike. Enfield Budget Approved

The Council met on 2 March to discuss the budget for the financial year of 2011/12 and, unsurprisingly, agreed it. The bottom line is that the council has £35m less to spend so would have to agree it in some form as it can’t magic up more funds from anywhere. Continue reading
